A Thorough Custom Plan

The pretravel consultation is a risk assessment process and provides a guide to prioritizing customize pretravel health care for individual travelers.  The goal of this pretravel consultation is to effectively and officially prepare you, the traveler, with the information, vaccinations and medications to reduce the risk of illness and injury related to travel. Our consultations typically last about 45 minutes and include a comprehensive itinerary review and specific topics about your travels. Our Travel Medicine staff will discuss recommendations (from the CDC, WHO and other sources) and requirements based on your destinations, activities, time of year, altitude and medical history. Our consultation rooms are private and comfortable. Ideally, you should schedule your appointment with our Travel Clinic 4-6 weeks prior to your departure date. You can usually schedule an appointment on short notice.
